And life ain't no beauty show,
We don't know where tomorrow ends,
And when we're sad,
It's kind of a drag...

My obsesion

I have been obsessed with one thing and one thing only for the past few days. Day and nite, over n over again, and the slightest bit of boredom has yet to settle in. With each time, it just gets better than the last. Well, if u really wanna know, this is my obsession:

"Show: A Night in the Life of Matchbox Twenty".

It's a DVD of one of their concerts. It was recorded live at Philips Arena, Atlanta, somewhere in 2004. Their performance is excellent. I can see the passion in them that erupts like a volcano. And the love for music that just flows from the heart, willingly. The richness in their vocals and the power of their performance is beyond words.

This brings me joy. This brings me happiness. This brings me back to my love for music.

Rob Thomas

Rob Thomas was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that at one point or another, my memory will fail me. Which is why i'm blogging. Webster hasn't found the word to describe the feeling i'm experiencing right now. Being in the presence of Rob Thomas while he does what he does best is simply overwhelming. My heart just melted the moment he sang his first few words to his first song. A person with such a sensational voice. I love music to bits and this is what makes me love music to bits. I love the way he worked the crowd, how he interacted, and how he made us feel special. I love the bit where the tour crew brought out his birthday cake and i love the bit where we unanimously sang Happy Birthday. I also loved his down to earth nature, for being so warm, and being so shy at the same time. I loved the bit where he jokingly wrestled with his guitarist and when he joked about the difficulty the crew guy experienced when trying to move the keyboard platform backstage. I especially loved the bit where he sang songs from matchbox twenty.

It was sad that the concert had to end. One of the best 2 hours of my life and I would do it all over again without thinking twice. The best way i have ever spent my money. Worth my every single cent. And if matchbox twenty were to come, I would definitely be there too. Cheering and screaming and singing along to all their oh-so-perfect noise.

Ordinary CNY

1st day of CNY came n went as if it were any other ordinary day. Nothing special, nothing out of the ordinary. I had to work at the restaurant that day, n have been working almost every nite since. It's been really really bz as all the locals come for our CNY specials. Work has been super tiring..late nites..aching feet n sore muscles (from balancing too many plates). That being said, ppl have been extra generous..we've been getting really good tips! i guess they must be feeling a lot more prosperous n what not from eating the yee sang!

As for CNY clothes..it's surprising how i have quite a few new pieces. Some were bought a long time ago, just not yet worn. Some were bought few weeks back. It's already half way thru the 15 days, but i still havent got the chance to wear my new clothes!

I managed to collect 3 ang pows! Which i would consider pretty good. Of course 3 packets is nothing compared to what u get back in Malaysia but what the heck.

Well i guess that's it for my CNY story!
