Weekend in the sunshine state!

My weekend was spent in Brisbane. Left Melbourne on Friday morning. Got up blardy early to go to the airport. Got dropped off at the train station - froze my butt off while waiting for the city loop train. Anyways, my flight, in fact all flights at Melbourne airport got delayed cos of the foggy weather conditions. As a result, my 10.05am flight only took off at noon!!! Changed gates like a thousand times before we had a proper one. Anyhoo, arrived in sunny Brisbane slightly before 2pm. The main purpose of this Brisbane trip was for me to take the stupid english test which was on saturday morning. Another early start. Test was a piece of cake although there were a few misleading n tricky questions. But it was all fine. Was dead tired by the end of the day. Anyhoo, Arrived back in chilly Melbourne at quarter past 10pm and it was already 11.30 by the time i reached home. Was already having a throbbing headache by then, so hit the shower, and straight off to bed. I'm so glad i'm over with this test. Another hassle out of the way thank God!

At the end of the day

"At the end of the day faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don't really expect it. Its like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And its not so important happy ever after, just that its happy right now. Boundaries

At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines...that are way too dangerous to cross.

Money come money go

Last week's been a hard week for me. Worked my butt off 5 days of the week some with 12 hour shifts!!! But what the heck, i NEED the cash. Work's not taxing for me, it's fun. That's what i like most - the fun. Certain days were easy, and certain days were crazy busy!! But it was all good - good team work, good customers, good laugh, good food.

It's kinda frustrating how it's so hard to earn money, yet it's so easy to spend money and it just saddens me so so much to see my money just fade away..to see it just slip away so so fast.

Fun-day on a Monday

Yesterday was actually a fun day for me. Hung out with my managers. Yes, managers. Was invited for lunch and spent most of the afternoon in the music room. Watched music dvds, had a brief awkward jamming session, n KARAOKE session!! Haven't sung in ages, which meant vocal chords were not in the best shape. Stayed on for dinner. We had yummy indian food. We got dinner boxes. Was so stuffed after. Then came the story telling/sharing session. Was a good day. Came home close to 11pm and had to drink lots of water cos throat was all sore due to the singing..haha!! In short, i had a wonderful time.

Art-sy Craft-y

Over the past few weeks, i've actually had plenty of free time. So to keep me occupied, I did some craft-ing. I made cards. Simple ones, nothing too funky, nothing too complicating. Here are just a few:
