Strength within

Sometimes you just feel tired, feel week. When you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you. Got to find that inner strength, and just pull that shit out of you. And get that motivation to not give up and not be a quitter. No matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse.

Wheee...

This week has been a really smooth week for me. My manager is away on leave, therefore i am left in charge of my dear little team. Every one in my team is great, that makes my life so much easier! My manager has got a lot under her belt, but i'm surviving. Taking one day at a time. This is the second time my manager has been away for an extended period, hence the second time i've been left in charge. And no doubt, this time has been so much better. I'm more experienced, I know exactly what i'm doing, and what i'm supposed to be doing. I know exactly what my team members need to do, and it feels great. I dont hate it as much as i did the last time, and i don't mind doing it at all.

Didnt have to go in to work today. Went to the regional office for 2IC training. It was a good session. Plus i didnt have to go in to work. Rang work, and my team's strong and still surviving without me. yay for them!

I feel happy today :)

Passion

I feel Electrified, G.L.O.R.I.F.I.E.D, revived!! I once again feel that passion that lies deep beneath every note that is hit, every chord that is played, every beat that beats, every word that is sung. Nothing compares to this wonderful feeling, so much so, that I envy every musician. Not only do they get to do what they love as a career, but they get to share that love with the world. I mean, what would this world be without music? Can u live with only silence?

The Quest

To dream, the impossible dream.
To fight, the unbeatable foe.
To bear, with unbearable sorrow.
To run, where the brave dare not go.
To right, the unrightable wrong.
To love, pure and chaste from afar.
To try, when your arms are too weary.
To reach, the unreachable star.

This is my quest, to follow that star.
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far.
To fight for the right, without question or pause.
To be willing to march into Hell, for a Heavenly cause.

And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest,
That my heart will lie will lie peaceful and calm,
when I'm laid to my rest.
And the world will be better for this.
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach, the unreachable star...

Belonging to a moment

Seen that ray of light,
and it's shining on my destiny,
shining all the time,
and i won't be afraid,
to follow everywhere it's taking me,
all i know is yesterday is gone,
and right now i belong,
to this moment to my dreams...

i fell for it...

I stole this from somewhere. I thought it was lovely and i think every girl would dream the same. Each line meant so much, that i fell for it.

I want a guy who would move the hair away from my eyes and then kiss me.
Hold my hand in line at the mall and make all the girls jealous.
Someone who would sing to me at random moments, who would let me sleep on their chest.
A guy who would get mad at someone if they called me ugly or was mean to me.

I want someone who would call me three times a day if he went away.
Someone who would let me gossip to him and would just smile and agree with everything i say.
He would throw stuffed animals at me when i acted dumb and then kiss me a million times.
Someone who would make fun of me just to make me laugh.

He would take me to the park and put his hands around my waist and give me big bear hugs all the time.
He would tell all his friends about me and smile when he did it.
And we'd make out in the pouring rain.
He would never be afraid tto say "I love you" in front of his friends.
And we'd argue about silly things then make up.

I want a guy that would kiss me at midnight on new years and count the stars with me.
Who would stay at home with me on a Friday night just to help me make dinner and watch movies together under the same blanket.
Someone who would tell me I'm beautiful but not too often.
Who would make me laugh like no one else could.
But mostly, I want someone who would be my best friend and would never break my heart.

Mixed feelings

Ok..its time for my first post for 2007. Finally got the time to actually log in to blogger. So 2007 started off with a bang, and i hope that good things happen and that things would go my way. Same goes to everyone out there.

Things have been happening really quickly this first month. Works been really really good. I think as days go by, my managers appreciate my contribution more and more. Which is a good thing for me, cos it gives me a good name in the company and i hope that can help me get into HR. I've spoken to my GM, and she's trying to pull some strings here and there. I've been bugging her quite a bit now, i hope she'll finally be able to put in a good word for me. Crossing fingers that `07 is the year for me career wise!

January has also been a month of mixed feelings. Saturday last week marked the last day i lived at my old place. Moved to my new place on Sunday, and it was kinda sad leaving the old place. I've lived there for 2 years, and it seemed to bring back lots of happy moment, which will now only remain a memory. I went back today to the old place cos the carpet was due for steam cleaning. Entering the empty house felt like the 1st day we went to inspect the house. Can't believe 2 years have gone pass that quick. Anyway, the new house is all good. Closer to work, secure, nice view..everything works out well for me.

On a sadder note, one of my best friend here just left Melbourne. I used to work with him, and he's such a great person, inside and out. We had lots of fun working together, and we got on really really well. He's now relocated to London, and i'm gonna miss him so so much. I already do! It's just really sad, cos the atmosphere at work is absolutely different, and I can feel the difference which really bums me out. One thing i know for sure is that we'd never lose touch, he's THAT close a friend. The only good thing that came out from this, is that I now had free accomodation when i visit London!! Whee!!

That's it for now.

Missing you

Heartbroken, heart breaking
Are the roads that I keep on taking
Trying to put you out of my mind?
Only drags me back in time
We build on the sands, castles into the sky
Then a storm came in and time was the tide
Just like a burning house on fire
I just stood there watching our love die

You know, they say love is a journey. But then again, love sickness has no cure. It just drains every ounce of energy and emotion out of you. Love probably had us both blind, and we do things we never expect to. But when I put you on a pedestal so high, when I fell I didn't even hear you cry.

I had to find my way. I'm still trying to, in this cold cold world. But i'm missing you. I hope you miss me too.

flashbacks

i'm finally breaking the silence here. I really can't help it if i lead a boring life.

Boring life = nothing to blog.

Anyways, now that i'm blogging again, doesnt mean that my life ain't boring anymore. But whatever!

3 months into working full time and i'm still loving it! I absolutely love the people i work it. It REALLY makes a HUGE difference when the people/environment you work with is a very conducive one.

Some time ago, while at the train station, i saw this girl who was wearing blue tinted rimless glasses. The sight of her just brought memories of Form 4 back to me. This girl i saw reminded me so much of a girl who was my best friend back then. Somehow we both just clicked. Although she wasnt at school most of the time, she was still a very big part of my "form 4 life". I miss those days with her dearly.

Robbie Williams is coming to Melbourne!!!!!! but me won't be goin to see him do his thing. I would have very much loved to go though. I can't believe tix were sold out in less than half an hour!!! dammit! I'll just sit at home and watch back to back DVDs of him in concert. Front row seats right in the comfort of my room. Beat that!

Missing piece..

Something triggered my mind the other day and made me think about u. Thoughts and moments with u just flooded my brain. I miss the times i spent with u, the times we watched Jay Leno together, the times we watched The Man Show and the thing with girls on trampolines, the times we watched the comedy channel. The times we had supper at 3 or 4 in the morning. The times we just pig-out and just sleep thru the day, and the times we skipped classes. I miss ur jokes, i miss ur laughter, i miss ur presence. But most of all, i miss YOU!! I wished i could rewind time and spend all those great times with u again, unfortunately the world is just turning as it should. *Sigh* Miss u heaps though.

On a different note, bday celebration this year was excellent! Such great memories. I cant really describe everything in words..its just so fresh in my memory as if it happened yesterday though. By far one of the best bdays ever.

My first week at work

Finally after waiting so so long, I managed to secure a full time job. And to me, that's such a big relief. I got the call from Michelle (now my manager) the morning of July 18. My excitement and joy over the news were beyond words. Was supposed to start training the next day. Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances, I couldnt, which was why I opted to go in for training starting Saturday that same week.

My life has some-what changed every since. I've had such a great week at work. Everyone is so nice and friendly and helpful. They've been training and guiding me thru work. Giving me tips and pointers, teaching me tricks of the trade, and everything else i need to know. Whenever i'm confused over something, all I do is look at one of them, and they'll come to my rescue! That's really how nice they are. As for the actual "work" itself, I'm liking it. Not too much pressure, not to stressful. Although it's fast paced, it's still fun. I have a strong feeling i'm gonna be loving my job a lot (so long as all contributing factors remain the same).

Adventures of...

So i had a good weekend. Worked my normal shifts and got tipped reasonable well! Today was a fun day out. Was supposed to go to the gym at 9am..but i wanted tot sleep in after a tiring saturday nite. So skipped gym, went out for dim sum or what they call "yam cha" here. The irony of the name..haih...anyway...i was satisfied with yam cha today..we went grocery shopping after that..came home put groceries away, then headed to Blanche's place for a visit..had good laughs, story telling sessions. Entertaining..very entertaining.

Anyways, highlight of the day:
We made a pitt stop after Blanche's house. Where to?? Krispy Kreme. The first outlet opened in Victoria, and yes it's at one end of the world!! All the way at Fountain Gate. So since we were at THAT end of the world, we decided to stop by. Happily parked the car and walked pass the back of Krispy Kreme to get to the front entrance. First comment that we all had was "OH MY GOD!!!" Not because we finally made it to Krispy Kreme and that we were finally able to eat the ever so famous donuts. But it was because of what our eyes saw. People were queueing up, in the freaking freezing cold to ENTER Krispy Kreme. Howling winds did not deter them. Icy cold weather..and yet these ppl braved the weather JUST to eat donuts..Dammit..everyone's influenced by Homer. Anyway, there was a staff on her break outside. We walked pass her, and she told us, that would at least be AN HOUR AND A HALF wait!!! We were like..forget man..we're not that desperate for donuts..ppfftttt!! There was a drive through lane too..the queue was till God-alone-knows-where. The queue got lost in the fleet of cars present at the site. So, yeah n then we headed home. Geez..the things people would do for donuts.

And that's the story :)

One of my favourite verses

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.
But where there are prophecies, they will cease;
Where there are tongues, they will be stilled;
Where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Sad goodbye

I received the saddest news to date on Sunday morning. And what a way to spoil the day. My dog, Ginger, died of old age. He's been with us since he was a puppy, and that was 14 years ago. He grew up with us and was part of the family. He took care of us and played with us and made us laugh at his antics..wagging his tail when he's excited and trying to run away when dad scolds him, or trying to escape a bath, and always running to us when we have food..he was such a good n lovable dog. It will be so different the next time I go home..he will not be around. I didnt even get a chance to say goodbye. But i know he's up there, in doggy heaven, looking over us and protecting us like he always did.

Laughter for the day

You know how they say laughter is the best medicine. Well, to me, I think that if u're a person who likes to joke and can take a joke urself, then yes, laughter is the best medicine. But there are still some people out there who thinks when one is stressed, or facing a problem with work or things along those lines, joking around won't help the situation. Well, too bad for them. For those light hearted ones out there who always sees a rainbow after the rain, life would be so much less stressful. You get to let loose, and be happy, and enjoy life the way we are meant to enjoy. Anyways, I came across these. I found them quite funny.
